Deep sleep or Insomnia?

Sleep problems are common in the adult population, affecting learning, cognition, and mental and physical wellbeing. Do you find when you cannot sleep that it is hard to concentrate the next day, that it affects your alertness and just generally affects your physical well-being? It is thought in medical circles that hypnosis treatment insomnia really works, potentially meaning that pharmaceutical intervention is not needed. (Chamine, Atchley, & Oken, 2018). Research showed that types of therapies, including sleep hygiene, relaxation, mindfulness, and hypnotherapy, all worked together very well. Hypnotherapy resulted in improving both sleep and mental healthy and that combining these therapies in a holistic way maximised the success rate. (Friedrich & Schlarb, 2017).
